The New Republic: It Wasn't About Right Wing Rage

Much of the ire in the aftermath of this weekends shooting in Tucson, Ariz. was directed at conservative political rhetoric. Jonathan Chait of The New Republic argues that this was an isolated event, carried out by someone on the fringes of mainstream society. Political rhetoric is problematic, but it must be addressed separately from this weekend's events.
